I’m not a huge fan of plugins. I do a lot of consulting, and 9 times out of 10, literally, plugins are the culprit when there’s a problem. It’s like clockwork.

However, as my buddy Alex says, it’s not the plugin that causes issues… it’s the poorly written code in the plugin that is to blame.

With that being said, I like to write my own code or use trusted, prewritten code whenever possible… even if there’s a simple plugin that could easily be added to my WordPress install.
